Big Island skydiving FAQ

Everything to know before your tandem skydive at Upolu Airport. Still have a question? Call 808.937.9258.

Prices & booking

How much does skydiving cost on the Big Island?

Tandem skydives start at $349 per person plus tax. Video and photo packages are optional upgrades.

Do I need a reservation?

Yes. Reservations are confirmed with a credit or debit card. Walk-ins are welcome if the schedule allows.

When should I book?

Early in your trip. We only jump in the mornings, when the winds are calmest, and an early date leaves room to reschedule. Kamaʻāina, book whatever date works for you.

Do you offer photos and video?

Yes. The Tandem Skydive includes a free edited handcam video on YouTube, and the $61 Instant Video Package gives you an edited video, social reel, freefall clip and 85+ photos before you leave. The B.I.G. Package swaps the YouTube video for an outside videographer, with instant download included.

The jump

How high do you jump?

Up to 10,000 feet, with about 30 seconds of freefall and a 5-minute parachute flight over the North Kohala coast.

How long does the experience take?

Plan for 1 to 3 hours. Most guests finish in 1 to 2 hours depending on weather and aircraft timing.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Sunscreen and sunglasses help while you wait in the spectator area.

Requirements

What is the minimum age?

18, with a valid government-issued photo ID on arrival.

What is the weight limit?

285 lbs maximum. Guests over 200 lbs pay $10 for every 10 lbs above 200.

Weather & cancellations

What is your cancellation policy?

Full refund up to 48 hours before your jump. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.

What if weather cancels my jump?

We'll reschedule. If you can't reschedule during your visit, you get a full refund.

Location

Where are you located?

Upolu Airport in Hawi, on the north tip of Hawaiʻi's Big Island, about an hour north of Kona. We're the only skydiving center on the island.
